Apply with a metallic trowel in two coats on a well prepared background (with primer), leaving the first coat to dry completely before applying the second one. The second coat has to be applied quite thick and pressed, smoothed and scratched with the trowel, brush trowel, scraper or other tools, depending on the desired effect. It is possible to re-produce the typical joint ridges that come from the connection of concrete panels. The following day, when the surface is completely dry, it is possible to sand it by hand or with a machine.
Many of Stucco Italiano additives can be added in the second coat. The more popular is the black Ebano powder, but also the Mother of pearl, the Salt and Pepper sand and the Mica.
A special effect is obtained adding the Ebano powder and sanding the dry surface getting in evidence the black marble insert.
