Application
Preparation of the substrate
Apply Terra d’Arte on a smooth, dust-free surface. Surface imperfections can be smoothed out with Liscio, a levelling stucco for walls. After applying Liscio, you can procede in two different ways:
- Apply a coat of Universal Primer, properly diluted with water in a 1:5 up to a 1:10 ratio, depending on the absorbing capacity of the substrate. Let it dry for at least 4 hours. Then, apply two coats of properly diluted Breathable Paint. Let 4-5 hours pass between the first and second coat.
- Apply a coat of Quartz Primer diluted with water, and let dry for approximately 4 hours.
Application
Apply the material with a wool glove or brush (spalter), with continuous circular movements, in order to obtain a cloudy effect. It is advisable to pass again on the completed finish with the glove or with a special plastic spatula after 20-30 minutes, to flatten the flakes in excessive relief.
Colouring: Terra d’Arte can be tinted in different colours with the tinting machine, according to the Stucco Italiano Colour Chart.
